charmy's '16 Days' completes shooting

Shooting of '16 Days' directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by P Maheshbabu and DY Choudary on the banner of Cosmos Entertainments with Charmme as heroine and Aravind as hero, was wrapped recently.

Producer says, 'A boy and a girl were forced to stay together for about 16 days due to some unforeseen circumstances. What kind of situation they faced during their stay. Did they face any problem? Did they fall in love with each other? There would be a key chain with the heroine and there is an interesting story behind it. The entire film runs on an interesting note and it would also give an thrilling experience to the audiences.'

Manorama, Jayaprakash, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Ramjagan and others are in the cast. Camera is by Sukumar, music is by Dharan, while dialogues are by Nivas.

Sexy charmi in love with handsome bollwood star

Who Charmi considered her competition? She said, “Nobody is competition. Trisha and Nayathara are all friends. I only compete with myself. On her ranking in the Telugu film industry the actress said, “I don’t believe in this concept of being number one or two.” On the kind of roles she was looking for, she said, “I love doing commercial films. But I also want to do character and female-oriented roles. I think glamour is very necessary. Glamour is different from revealing skin. I know my limits,” she said. When asked how much she charged for a movie, the actress smiled and said, “I’ve just had an income tax raid in my home. Why do you want to put me in problems?”

The actress seemed to be pleasantly surprised when told that Prabhu Deva considered her to be one of the finest dancers. “Is that true,” she asked. “Prabhu Deva is like a family friend. He taught me classical dance. But he’s never told me that I was a good dancer,” she said. The actress disclosed that she was working on a yet to be titled project in which she was playing a negative character. “The movie is being directed by Prakash,” she said and added that she was also acting in Kausalya Supraja Rama. The actress created quite a buzz when she said she loved Ranbir Kapoor. “I loved his performance in Saawariya," she said. Would she consider marrying him if he proposed? “I will have to ask my mom and dad,” she replied.

Charmee gets extra pay for lip kiss

The shooting of 16 days, a heroine-oriented movie starring Charmee, directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by P. Maheshbabu and D. Nageswara Rao under Cosmos Entertainment banner, was completed recently.

In a recent interview, the director revealed, “The entire subject revolves around the events that occur in a time-frame 16 days, so we chose to keep the title as 16 days. Charmee's screen name is Angel; her role is unique in characterisation and one of the best that Charmee has portrayed in her career till date.

The film had several thrilling scenes.” Charmee has a hot scene, a very sweet romantic kiss with the hero, which has attracted mixed reviews. It is also rumoured that she agreed to the liplock only after getting the appropriate extra remuneration. Arvind, who had worked as Mani Ratnam’s assistant director, will be introduced as hero to the Telugu film industry.

Stalwarts like Manorama, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jayaprakash Reddy, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam and Ramjagan will provide superb supporting performances. Sukumar is the cinematographer, Dharan is the composer, Bhaskarabhatla is the lyricist and Nivas has penned the dialogues. Story, screenplay and direction are by Prabhu Solomon.

charmy 16 days first copy ready

The first copy of 16 Days, directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by J.P. Kumar and D.Y. Choudary under Cosmos Entertainment banner with Aravind and Charmee in the lead, will be ready by the end of July.

This bilingual film is in the post-production phase. Charmee’s performance will be one of the movie’s highlights. Speaking on the occasion, director said, “The hero and heroine are forced to stay together for 16 days due to unforeseen circumstances. Why, how and who force them to stay together are some of the questions answered in the film. Charmee plays the role of a mimicry artiste. She mimicks the voices of MGR, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Vijaykanth for the Tamil version, while in Telugu it is the voices of Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, NTR, Allu Ramalingaiah, Brahmanandam and Sunil. Tamil hero Aravind is being introduced to the Telugu film industry through this film.

The four songs in the film will all attract youth.” Cinematography is by Sukumar, music is by Dharan, editing is by J.N. Harsha, while dialogues are by Nivas.

Charmi imitating pawan kalyan and Raviteja !

CHARMI, who has done heroine-oriented flicks like Anukokunda Oka Roju and Mantra is here again. Yes. Now she is playing one such role in her upcoming venture titled 16 Days.

The actress was on cloud nine disclosing the film’s progress at a press meet at Annapurna Seven Acres in the city on Monday. Charmme will be seen oozing out with oodles of positive energy in the film.

"I play Angel, a character which I have never done and remains one of my favourite characters. It has brought out my innate skills which you can see in my imitation of Rajnikant, Kamal Haasan, Pawan Kalyan, Raviteja and Sunil," she said.

While the film’s director Prabu Solomon chose to describe her role simply as a Lady Rajnikant.

"Charmme’s role has got different dimensions. She rides bike, imitates people in this bilingual. When it comes to the title, the count down starts when the hero and heroine meet and on the 16th day it culminates in the climax," said the director.

Chinni Prakash, who choreographed songs for films like Jodha Akbar, has choreographed a song in the film. "The song has been shot in a true Hollywood style. It has been picturised on Charmme and Russian cheergirls," explained the choreographer.

Currently shooting for an introductory song at Annapurna Seven acres the film is all about how she lives and perceptions. It tries to say: ‘Think positive and take life positive’.

Charmme has another reason to smile about because she has a romantic duet in the film. "So far I have not had a duet. All the songs were one sided. And this film has fulfilled my wish," she said.

Aravind, assistant to Maniratnam, makes his debut as a hero with the film. Dharan has scored the music. Cinematographer Sukumar, lyricist Bhaskarbhatla Ravi Kumar were among those present. Cosmos Entertainment is producing the film.

Charmi as Muddha pappu !

Charmy - the successful Manthra heroine is going to act in a film titled Mudda Pappu. This film details will be announced shortly, presently discussions are on.

We heard similar titles of Kichen - Pulihora for Jagapthi Babu, Aavakaya Biryani of Shekar Kammula and Hyderabad Biryani of Poojith Choudary (Renuka Choudary's daughter). And we are going to hear titles like Payasam and Haleem very soon....?

On the other hand Bhoomika who is doing her Mallepuvvu with Samudra will do a thriller film with Charmy titled dhooram to be directed by Allari Ravi.

Top Heros and heroines at ATA this year

The American Telugu Association (ATA) organizes a get together once in two years and a host of prominent celebrities will be converging at the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey from the 3rd to the 5th of July to make it a memorable event.

The ATA recognizes and honors individuals of Telugu origin during the convention. Eminent personalities from different fields are expected to be honored this year as well.

Representatives from the Telugu film world and prominent personalities from other fields who are taking part this year include Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, Charmee, Hansika Motwani, Roja, Devisri Prasad, Ghazal Srinivas, Vijaya Lakshmi, Siva Reddy, Gangadhar, Gollapudi Maruthu Rao, Suddala Ashok Teja and C.Narayana Reddy. There are also a host of religious leaders who are taking part.

Seminars and glittering cultural performances are being planned for the event. Awards would be presented in order to honor excellence in different fields.

Charmi wants to compete with Kamal Hasan

Charmy- the Punjabi bubly girl came in limelight of Telugu film industry with the film Sreeanjaneyam of Krishna Vamsy. But after that she was in the news for wrong reasons and she condemned all those rumors. She was linked with a young music director and some heroes, but she never took them seriously.

The film Mathra has really brought out the new Charmy and her performance in thriller movie is appreciated by every one. Now she is doing 16 days another thriller and one more thriller Dhooram with Bhoomika. But she is not satisfied with these roles.

Now she wants compete with Kamal Hasan by portraying 10 roles in a film. Let us wait and see, which director & Producer come forward to offer such roles to Charmy.

Bhoomika charmy together in new thriller movie

Bhoomika delivered a thriller Anasuya with director Ravi Babu and Charmy delivered a thriller Manthra with Tulasi Dasu.

Now both the thriller girls are joining hands to come up with another thriller titled Dhooram. Ravi Babu will direct the film.

This film will be produced by Barath Tagore, husband of Bhoomika. A new banner Down Town Film banner established for this purpose. The film will go on floors from September.

Two more Telugu heroines purchased 'BMW 5' Series Car.

Only three people are having expensive BMW cars in film stars. Nag, Trisha and Nayanatara.

Now two more heroines joined this expensive group. One is Charmy and the other is Reema Sen.

Both the heroines purchased the BMW@ 5 Series cars from Hyderabad showroom.

Charmy gifted herself on her birthday,17th May and Reema Sen who is attending the Tamil film shoot in RFC purchased the dark blue BMW car in Hyderabad and Reema is roaming around the city in her new and expensive car.

Cosmos Entertainments & future films is making a bilingual film with Charmy in the lead role. The young director Prabhu Salman is directing the film.

The second schedule of the film was started on 20th April and will continue till the entire film shoot is completed.

Hero Arvind, Charmy, Kota, Jayaprakash Reddy, Manorama are participating in the shoot.

The film is likely to be titled as `16- Days'

Bhale Dongalu is the film that is starred by Tarun ,Ileana. Charmy is playing an item song for the film by charging Rs25 lakhs to the producer.

K Vijaya Bhaskar is directing the film. Shakamuri Panduranga Rao is producing the film and Bellamkonda is presenting the film.

KM Radhakrishna is composing the music.

Jagapathi is playing very special role of Police officer.

The film's shoot is almost completed and the producer is planning to release on 4th April.

Income Tax ride on Mahesh,Rajamouli,VV Vinayak

The Income Tax sleuths, led by additional director, investigation, Aparna Rao, conducted raids on prominent film personalities of Tollywood at around 6.30 am. They include Dil Raju, Maheshbabu, SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak and Charmme. It is learnt that the IT officials conducted raids as they did not show proper details about their income and expenditure and also about their properties. It is worth mentioning here that all the above film personalities gave big hits in recent times.

While Dil Raju had hits like ‘Bommarillu’ and ‘Happy Days’, Maheshbabu had notable hit like ‘Pokiri’, SS Rajamouli had produced and directed a blockbuster like ‘Yamadonga’, Vinayak gave a hit through ‘Krishna’ and Charmme had also a hit film in her kitty like ‘Mantra’. Assuming that these films made them wealthy but the film personalities did not show proper accounts about the revenue by making huge investments in real estate deals, the IT officials conducted raids and the investigation continued till the last reports came in.

Charmy new film Micheal madhana kamaraju

Director Nidhi Prasad (Bagyalakshmi Bumper Draw fame) is coming up with another comedy flick titled Michel Madhana Kamaraju. Srikanth is playing the role of Michel, Prabhudeva is playing the role of Madhan and Sunil is the Kamaraju.

Charmy and Asha Shiny are the female leads for this comedy flick. Though the title appears similar to that Kalmal’s old film, the story is entirely different from that film. The shoot is almost completed and producer is planning to release the film in the coming summer.

Red Star pair with Genelia & Charmi

Kuchipudi Venkat who is experimenting with a film John Appa Rao 40+ by introducing comedian Krishna Bagawan as hero and Simran as female lead is coming up with another experiment with Red Star.

Kuchipudi Venkat is again experimenting with Red star Narayan Murty as comedy hero. Narayan Murty is known for his serious and red star roles.

To surprise every one, Kuchipudi is roping two beauties- Chramy and Genelia with this young Red Star. The combination itself is creating some sensation in the industry.

The film is likely to be titled as Murthy in USA and major portion of the shoot will take place in USA.

Charmy as aishwarya rai!

Bellamkonda Suresh is making a film Bhale Dongalu with Traun, Jagapathi Babu and Ileana. K Vijayabhaskar is directing the film.

It is heard that the film is the remake of Hindi film Bounty aur Bubbly. Now the producers are roping Charmy to play the item song Kazarare Kazarare …that was done bb Aishwary Rai in Bunty aur Bubbly.

Producers wanted to go with Mamatha Mohandass for this song, but it is learnt that Mamatha demanded huge remuneration for this film and producers opted Charmy and Charmy is charging Rs23 lakhs for this 6 minutes song. It is the huge amount and it is the first ever a Telugu producer paying that much amount.

This song will be filmed on Jagapathi, Tarun and Charmy.

Sundarakanda Review

Overview:

K Vishwanath, K Balachander, Bapu..these masters made some memorable movies and classics in the past but their recent offerings bring blemish to their illustrious career. Bapu's latest Sundarakanda is no exception. No one can associate with this old-fashioned movie that told in boorish manner. Bapu and his famous jodi Ramana writer seem to have stuck still in the 70's. A jamindar marries a poor girl without the knowledge of his royal parents and the poor girl is thrown out of their home with a blame put on her. She raises her child far from the royal family. And the child takes on mission to reunite her separated parents with her own tricks.

No, we are not telling the story of Bapu - Ramana's classic Mutyala Muggu. Sundarakanda's basic story is similar to that one. The only difference is that the kid here is a full-grown woman called Pinky (Charmee) and it is not entertaining like the original masterpiece.

Sundarakanda is completely out of the sync with the current times. The story, the narration and the language that the characters speak are archaic. From scene one, it lags on and moves on with outdated screenplay.

Story:

Charmee in the role of Pinky Without A Tail and Penki Pilla has done full justice to her role but her character is uninteresting. Prema as Charmee's mother doesn't like look a mom to a 18 year old girl. Nor does the director take any effort to show difference to young Prema and when she turns mother.

Allari Naresh plays a journalist who rides on bicycle with a camera on his shoulder and takes photographs. His character is enough to show how old-fashioned the film is. Kota is the only saving grace. Music by Vidyasagar is nothing to rave about. photography by KRK Raju is neat, though. A shot where decreasing of shadow to depict the time passed till the dusk is quite interesting. Background score (not done by Vidyasagar) is good.

Bottom-line

Anyone who respect for Bapu - Ramana, for their great earlier movies, feel disappointed with this old-fashioned flick. Quite boring!
